The Fish Harvesters Registration and Certification Board (FHRCBNS) of Nova Scotia is a not-for-profit organization that represents all geographical regions in Nova Scotia. With the purpose of providing a quick, easy way to receive and store a Personal Fisher Registration (PFR).

A PFR costs $50 and you can either get one through DFO or through the FHRCBNS.  When you choose the FHRCBNS the money for the PFR stays within the province of Nova Scotia as well as goes towards the following for its members:

~Training: You will be offered training that meets the needs of Nova Scotia fish harvesters at discounted training prices (see image below)

~Certification: You can get certified to validate your skills and abilities

~Supporting Industry: You’ll help keep the industry strong and viable
